CXmas Junior Fund Sends Four Oregon Juniors to Nationals!

Congratulations to our four CXmas Junior Fund recipients who competed in the 2012 US National Cyclocross Championships! Gabrielle Lehnert, in only her first year racing ‘cross, was sixth in the Junior Women’s 10-12 race. Sam Rosenberg and Lance Haidet placed 9th and 16th respectively in the Junior Men’s 15-16 race, and Donovan Birky placed 18th in the Junior Men’s 13-14 race.

Thank you for helping us raise money in 2012 for the CXmas Junior Fund! Because of your generosity, we were able to help these four Oregon juniors travel to Madison, Wis., for nationals. Read more about these promising young athletes here.

The CXmas Party on December 6 raised more than $2,500, and combined with the proceeds from our September Future Cross cyclocross race, meant we were able to award four $800 stipends to deserving–and grateful–junior racers.

We are so incredibly grateful to the cycling community–near and far–for its support of the CXmas Party. It takes an entire community to grow junior talent, and we couldn’t do it without you:
